Going Into Debt? Think Before You Do! Dream big but don't expect everything to work out just as you planned. Peter discusses some recent, exorbitant expenses that happen all within a couple of days. He reminds us that expenses can suddenly come out of nowhere. So it's a good thing to have a reserve otherwise you will get stressed out when stuff happens all at once. When it rains it pours! Self inflicted debt adds stress to those situations. Planning requires effort and patience, but is so worthwhile. Tune in!

Where is the GROWTH? Our economy is producing more jobs and that's good. So many of the jobs, however, are lower paying jobs and that's bad. The Ostrich Market - Today we upgraded the podcast name from Sunshine Friday to WHAT REALLY MATTERS. As fate would have it, Jeff Hybiak, Mr. Sunshine himself, would just have to give us a vintage Sunshine topic such like this: Investors, like the ostrich with its head in sand, says “As long as I don't see anything scary, I'll be ok." Under funded pensions, including Social Security, will inevitably cause taxes to go up and the stock market to go down. If retirement is within 10 years, don't be an Ostrich and let the recent market rally fool you. If you are retired or will be soon, this topic is most definitely WHAT REALLY MATTERS regarding your financial future. Tune in.

Are Investors Acting Like Golden Retrievers? Peter asks Jeff to explain why he likens market participants to his family's new puppy that is happy-go-lucky about everything. Jeff wouldn't be Mr. Sunshine if he didn't point out a storm cloud or two that may be heading our way. He does draw a distinction however between short-term prospects for the market at all-time highs and how things could play out if the economy continues to show signs of strength. Tune in!
