What Really Matters - August 19

Going Into Debt? Think Before You Do! Dream big but don't expect everything to work out just as you planned. Peter discusses some recent, exorbitant expenses that happen all within a couple of days. He reminds us that expenses can suddenly come out of nowhere. So it's a good thing to have a reserve otherwise you will get stressed out when stuff happens all at once. When it rains it pours! Self inflicted debt adds stress to those situations. Planning requires effort and patience, but is so worthwhile. Tune in!What Really Matters - August 12

The markets are partying like it's 1999. Is this exuberance irrational, or is there actually something to it? Tune in to this week's episode of What Really Matters, guest hosted by Mr. Sunshine himself, Jeff Hybiak. What Really Matters - August 5

Where is the GROWTH? Our economy is producing more jobs and that's good. So many of the jobs, however, are lower paying jobs and that's bad. Peter and Jeff discuss that the numbers point towards some rough roads ahead regardless of political posturing and sugarcoating. What does this mean for you? The Ostrich Market - Today we upgraded the podcast name from Sunshine Friday to WHAT REALLY MATTERS. As fate would have it, Jeff Hybiak, Mr. Sunshine himself, would just have to give us a vintage Sunshine topic such like this: Investors, like the ostrich with its head in sand, says “As long as I don't see anything scary, I'll be ok." Under funded pensions, including Social Security, will inevitably cause taxes to go up and the stock market to go down. If retirement is within 10 years, don't be an Ostrich and let the recent market rally fool you. If you are retired or will be soon, this topic is most definitely WHAT REALLY MATTERS regarding your financial future. Tune in.The Peter McClellan Show - Sunshine Friday, July 22nd

Are Investors Acting Like Golden Retrievers? Peter asks Jeff to explain why he likens market participants to his family's new puppy that is happy-go-lucky about everything. Jeff wouldn't be Mr. Sunshine if he didn't point out a storm cloud or two that may be heading our way. He does draw a distinction however between short-term prospects for the market at all-time highs and how things could play out if the economy continues to show signs of strength. Is the Coast Clear? The market has gone to new highs. Is it a good time to buy or not? Peter gets Mr. Sunshine's (Jeff Hybiak) "logical" take on the market rally. Sunshine reminds us that usually it's best to buy when the market is on sale and not when it's hitting new highs. Tune in and hear a money manager's take on these all-time new highs. The Peter McClellan Show - Sunshine Friday, July 8th

The Market Hits An All-Time High: Jeff describes the low volume, low conviction rally that brought us to a new high. This very well may be a great time to re-visit your risk tolerance, time frame, and portfolio allocation. Not a lot new, but sound advice is given to Invest In A Conversation. The Peter McClellan Show - Sunshine Friday, July 1st

Was the panic surrounding the surprise departure of England from the European Union over done? Well, looking at the market this week it certainly seems like it. As we enter our 4th of July weekend the market is only a hair away from where it was before the British vote last week. Mr. Sunshine, Jeff Hybiak, says "Brexit" has underscored the true fundamental problems of banks needing to raise capital and our world's leaders seeing more debt as the solution to our mounting problems. This week saw an enormous outflow from stock mutual funds, yet, the market went up as corporate earnings continue to decline. Maybe we've entered the Twilight Zone! Jeff cuts thru the distortions for bewildered investors helping them see what really matters. Tune in!The Peter McClellan Show - Sunshine Friday, June 24th

What the heck is Brexit? And why is it such a big deal? This is a very timely podcast as we welcome back Mr. Sunshine, Jeff Hybiak to give us the inside scoop on Great Britain's monumental decision to leave the European Union. Jeff's been absorbing a ton of information. Peter doesn't let him lose us too much with technical talk and Jeff explains things very clearly as to what the implications are for the short-term, for the European economy, the banks, and what it may mean for us as Americans as it seems as though people across the globe are angry and want change. Don't miss this one!The Peter McClellan Show - Sunshine Friday, June 17th

Are You Floating? Peter takes the opportunity to ask a provocative question. And no, he's not talking about financial matters such as floating a loan, but rather the term that a friend of his used to describe the feeling he gets when he is in that "zone" of employing his unique abilities. Whether you're just starting out or are in retirement, we all need to get in that place where we are doing something of value for others by employing our unique abilities. I want to float more like my friend does. Check out the podcast. It might just "float your boat." I hope it does. And remember, Mr. Sunshine returns to Sunshine Friday next week!
