Peter discusses investors' needs for clarity with friend and colleague Tim McCain of Strategic Equity Management. As Tim points out, creating a plan and sticking to it is vitally important. Being mindful of our firmly established objectives can keep us from being swayed by our emotions. While it is normal to experience vacillation in our emotions, if we allow our emotions to dominate our financial decisions, we are setting ourselves up for financial harm. Tune in. It's What Really Matters.

On Wednesday, when the Federal Reserve released the minutes of their March meeting, investors' confidence was shaken as they learned that Fed may actually start to try and unwind the mess they created. Jeff Hybiak's blog once again stresses the fact that when over confident investors start to pile into the market as they have in recent months, the end of a bull market cycle may not be far off. Those investors are really better defined as speculators. Their unrealistic expectations and fickle behavior may well initiate the bursting of the bubble that the Fed's quantitative classroom type experiment created. No one knows when it will burst or how the Feds will undo their unprecedented experiment. Jeff says that the higher the market climbs from here, the uglier the day of reckoning will be, the more Peter is reminded of why we call Jeff, Mr. Sunshine. Tune in!

Things like US Labor Force Participation Rate not being this low since the 70's. Like many Americans, Peter paid a monthly health insurance premium recently that was twice as high as it was 3 years ago yet those who are supposedly going to repeal & replace Obamacare can't agree on the color of.... Well you know. And of course there is more. Tune in. Peter and Jeff will keep it real and absolutely hit on What Really Matters.

Is Warren Buffett "Jumping the Shark"? Jeff and Peter discuss how investors (maybe even Warren Buffett!) could be ignoring a sign of the market's overvaluation that Mr. Buffett himself created: The Buffett Indicator. If even seasoned investors like Mr. Buffett (Oracle of Omaha) can fall prey to their own biases what does that mean for the rest of us? Tune in and find out what "Jumping the Shark" means and if you are in danger of it!

Missed Opportunities - What Really Matters

Peter shares his thoughts about people accomplishing wonderful financial goals like paying off the mortgage or finishing up college tuitions. Sadly he has observed many people look for new things to consume rather than build a more solid, brighter financial future. The temporary sensation of financial freedom is fool's gold and for many the extra cash flow that comes from paying off debts or getting a big raise gets squandered by a temporary ability to spend like never before. Temporary financial freedom is no freedom at all. A somber message but one that will hopefully help you curb your spending appetite when more money comes your way. Tune in & capitalize on opportunities so you won't be among those who will likely face serious regrets later in life.
